Similar to Stotes (without grills), breakfast and lunch will be at the SC Crew Hospitality tent. The team will go to dinner at a restaurant in the Saratoga Springs area on Thursday and Friday. There is typically enough water and gator-ade from Stotesbury to take care of what we need at Nationals. |

Given the small number of students going, we won’t be taking a charter bus due to the cost so we have to look for parents willing to drive and take rowers. We typically need a minimum of 3 parent chaperones since we are required to have one per 10 students. Drivers can be chaperones but they don’t have to be. In addition to getting our rowers to NY and back, parent drivers need to shuttle rowers between the hotel and race course both days.
Racing is on Friday and Saturday. Travel up would be Thursday, May 27st. The drive time is about 7 1/2 hours. Depending on results, return trip would depart New York late afternoon on Saturday arriving home late evening. |
