Nutrition for Rowers  Proper nutrition is critical to optimal performance.  Nutrition must be managed over the course of training as well as before and during regattas.
Hydration Guidelines  Rowers undergo testing for body fat to determine optimal weight and limits to weight loss / gain.  Proper body hydration before the test is critical to achieving accurate results.
Winter Conditioning

Winter Conditioning (WC) provides an opportunity for rowers to get into shape before the spring season begins.  It is run by the SC Crew coaches.  Attendance by rowers is not required but is strongly encouraged.  WC is open to any SCSS student.  WC is held in the SCSS Weight Room (F-101) and the Fitness Center (F-111)

Lightweights Weigh-In  Required of all girl rowers <= 135 pounds and boy rowers <=155 pounds.
Swim Test   Required of every new rower before they are permitted on the water

Sandy Run is closed today for rowing, HOWEVER all boats going to Stotes need to show up for practice. We will be doing erg work, working on the boats, getting things ready for the trip so we can spend all our time rowing tomorrow if the debris clears.
